Panther, Meet Lion.

The Slinky One's paw steps in the much larger pawprint of Grand Funk. Grand Funk is a fluffy Afghan Golden Retriever standing on a rock as the sun sets. The Slinky One walks up to him and says, "Hey, how you doin'? I never met a real lion, it's pretty good! Do you gotta protect everything the light touches and all that?" Grand Funk wags his tail and says, "Well, I'm a dog, so yeah." The Slinky One replies, "Okay, my sisters are dogs, that's pretty good, too."

Fun fact: I have never seen The Lion King, and I have no intention of ever seeing it, but my first dog was a lion, and I met him 35 years ago today. Total ripoff, Disney, releasing your lion movie on Grand Funk’s gotcha day. OR IS IT A MYSTICAL SIGN?

  1. Our grand-funk died at the age of 12 the day after ” Can You Feel The Love Tonight ” won the academy award for best song(3/27/95). He was the sweetest and best protector. Everybody loved him. We’ll miss him forever.
