Avoidance Through Gardening.

The Spider is hanging around in the yard as The Fluffy One licks himself. "You ever feel like some people avoid things by gardening?" The Spider asks. He and The Fluffy One look at the nearest hedge, where my legs and glasses are clearly visible sticking out. I snip the twig the Spider is hanging from and he says, "Touché," while The Fluffy One comments, "Eh, hedge life is good enough for the bugs."

It occurred to me this year, as I stood inside a hedge, that I do tend to wander off to keep things pruned nicely instead of, you know, finishing my data science course or revamping my websites to show off my skills or learning how to make games in Unity, all of which I signed up to do but, hey, the lawn’s not gonna cut itself.
