Following my unofficial diagnosis as cockeyed (by Army medic and greatest Poppy ever My Poppy), I am pleased to report it’s not so much the lack of optic nerve fibers as MY ENTIRE HEAD which is, well, cocked. To one side. The right side, to be exact. Now you know.

How do all the dogs you’ve ever known deal with the threat of skunks? Mine have all managed to scare the bejeebers out of me but it makes great stories.
One day I was walking The Puppy down the hill and the lady who takes care of the local cats (she even takes them in and gets them vaccinated and everything!) was talking to some babies on her porch and their mother, too. I was all, “SQUEE, KITTENS!” and she was like, “No, these are skunks.”
I was like, “Oh.”

The Ninja Twins rescued me many years ago this weekend. We’re gonna get in a pile and purr.
Having no laptop with which to sit under a tree on a hot summer’s day frees up one’s time amazingly!
